To Our SHAREing and CAREing Community,
This has been a strange spring. The current health crisis is changing our lives. There are many times when we New Yorkers have been proud of our reputation as the “center of the world.” Now we are at the center of a global pandemic. We are New York tough, but we are also reeling.
We hope and pray that these uncertain times will soon be steadier. We hope that you and yours are, and remain, healthy. May this spring help you to sprout a renewed sense of self. May it be a time of happiness and togetherness, even as we are unable to be physically together. May those who are suffering experience a full recovery, and may we all enjoy one another’s company in person again soon.
For those of you who struggle, know that we at SHAREing and CAREing are here. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Email is the best way right now.
With the knowledge that music can soothe our souls, here is an amazing video of students of South Africa’s Roedean School singing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” It stands as a lovely example of how we can create beauty and sustain community spirit through inspired virtual connections.
Sincerely,
All of us from SHAREing and CAREing
