As summer winds down and the school year approaches, SHAREing & CAREing is excited to announce our participation in the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens Back-to-School Festival! We will be there with our outreach table, offering resources and support to the community on September 7, 2024, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Variety Boys & Girls Club parking lot, located at 21-12 30th Road, Astoria.

This festival is a fantastic opportunity for families to gather, celebrate the new school year, and enjoy a day filled with free activities and giveaways. The event promises a host of fun experiences, including:

• School Supplies & Backpack Giveaway: Ensure your kids are well-prepared for the school year with free supplies and backpacks.
• Dunk Tank: Take a chance at dunking local community members!
• Tie Dye Station: Get creative and make your own unique tie-dye apparel.
• Sky Farm LIC: Explore urban farming with Sky Farm LIC.
• Chip City Cookies: Enjoy delicious cookies from Chip City.

At our SHAREing & CAREing table, you can learn more about the vital cancer support services we offer to the Queens community. Whether you or a loved one are in need of cancer screening, support services, or simply more information about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, our staff and volunteers will be there to provide guidance, answer questions, and distribute helpful materials.
