On April 27 & 28th we returned to Long Island City High School in Queens to share our signature Be A Friend to Your Mother outreach program. The staff at LIC welcome SHAREing & CAREing like family and we are happy to return each year to meet a new group of fresh faced teenagers. They inspire us to continue our mission of reaching out to young people with the messages of cancer prevention, awareness, and early detection. A special thank you to LIC’s phys ed department for coordinating the logistics each year and to our partners at Elmhurst Hospital Center, especially Head Nurse Francine Smith who brings both her professional experience and heartfelt story of inspiration.
