On March 10, 2018, SHAREing & CAREing survivors came together to celebrate the human spirit. We came together in survivorship as long-term cancer survivors, newly-diagnosed individuals, as well as caretakers, friends and family members of all ages. Over 70 people attended this annual event, held at Antonio’s Kitchen.

We who have faced some of the worst that cancer can do to anyone offer a special kind of hope to one another. We share memories of lost loved ones, stories of heroism and resiliency and enjoy watching our children and grandchildren play together. Some of us weren’t sure we would live past cancer and get to see this! Simple crafts and activities were a popular activity for survivors and children to participate in together.

By the end, many participants felt renewed and uplifted. The cycle of life was affirmed as survivors, caretakers, friends and family members of all ages came together as a community.
