ExpiredWorkshop: Where Did I Put My Keys? The Truth about Aging and Memory

Many of us believe that memory loss is an inevitable result of aging. While that may be true with certain types of memory, other aspects can actually improve with time. We will look at myths and truths about memory and aging, practice fun strategies to strengthen our memory and learn warning signs of dementia and other illnesses. Participants will also have a chance to draw on positive memories as a source of pleasure and joy.

Workshop led by Merryl Reichbach, LCSW of SHAREing & CAREing Cancer Support Services.

Held at HANAC Harmony JVL Innovative Senior Center, a home away from home to seniors over the age of 60 in the Astoria Queens community. The center’s goal is to assist the city’s growing population of elders in continuing to be healthy, active members of their communities.
