ExpiredWorkshop: Surgical Treatment of Common Cancers

Each day, more than 1.5 million people in the United States are diagnosed with cancer and more than 1,500 die from the disease. Join the doctors from Mt. Sinai Queens as they discuss surgical approaches to colon cancer and breast cancer, including screening and prevention. Participants will have an opportunity to get their questions answered and link to health care including free and low-cost cancer screenings. Presented in collaboration with SHAREing and CAREing.

Presenters

Malini D Sur, MD, is a surgical oncologist at Mount Sinai Queens and Assistant Professor, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Division of Surgical Oncology.

Brijen Shah, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President for Medical Affairs at Mount Sinai Queens. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Geriatrics. His clinical and educational research involves studies focused on the outcome of colorectal screening decisions on elderly patients.
