SHAREing & CAREing’s survivorship support group began over twenty years ago and brings together a strong, dedicated group of long-term cancer survivors on a monthly basis to discuss the issues and concerns that come up after treatment.
This special edition of our survivorship support group is called “Let’s Stop Procrastinating!” For many of us, doing as Ben Franklin said “why put off for tomorrow what you can do today?” is easier said than done. While it’s easy to be distracted and relaxed (especially in the summertime) when we continually procrastinate, we can miss out on all kinds of opportunities and satisfaction than if accomplish things when we know they ought to be done. In this workshop, we will identify our own personal priorities, areas where we procrastinate, and, most important, learn and practice behaviors so we have more control of what gets “put off” and what gets done on time.
Held at SHAREing and CAREing headquarters. Workshop led by Merryl Reichbach, LCSW of SHAREing & CAREing Cancer Support Services.
