ExpiredNational Night Out Against Crime

Come visit the SHAREing & CAREing table at this year’s National Night Out Against Crime hosted by the 114th Precinct of the NYPD. This annual event will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Astoria Park at the Great Lawn on Shore Boulevard between Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria Park South from 5PM to 8PM.

Every year National Night Out Against Crime is celebrated in neighborhoods across the city to highlight the importance of community groups and business associations working closely together with the New York City Police Department to help demonstrate their intolerance to crime. Meet leaders and personnel from your local precinct and interact with neighbors, community members, and local businesses with the common goal of partnership and safety.

The event focuses on crime prevention related activities in an effort to educate all who attend. Programs and activities provided by exhibitors include handouts, demonstrations, and presentations for attendees to participate in. Get a chance to dunk a police officer in the dunk tank! This year’s event will also include free hot dogs and water, pony rides, face painting, clowns, and crime prevention information. Download the flier for more info.
